i liked designing venus! her skin is speckled like marble because it reminded me of my acne scars. i had a lot of fun adding so many colours to her design, especially in her vibrant tattoo! loved drawing her

fun fact i originally had different main menu art because i didn't realize that was against the rules of o2a2... the mod was super polite about it though! bit sad i couldn't include it

i was super surprised when some of my friends ended up drawing her too!

i got the idea for venus when i was in an art class and the professor kept talking about "why are all depictions of venus, goddess of beauty, white?" and "now i'm feeling uncomfortable about how venus is depicted"

i thought way too hard about venus after that. i came to the conclusion that like, everyone focuses so hard on venus being superhumanly hot, but it's really hard to make a humanoid goddess look superhumanly hot

so like, i made her someone with a beautiful smile and a personality so sweet, you can't help but love her. she's glittering jewels and stunning architecture. she's colourful flowers. she's the beauty you see in the depths of the ocean, the heights of mountains, in sculptures and artworks and majestic animals and the night sky and every hobby that ever made you happy. she's the love for everyone you know, and people you haven't met yet.

she's the goddess of all the love in the world.
